I strive for perfection, but expect improvement.

I am a college student, but I do not party, or slack off. I work my ass off to pay for school and to counter my learning disability. I am rewarded for this by my reputation, I am a Marine Biology major, this is a very competitive major, but I am making my mark. Money has always been tight but to this point me and my parents were able to scrounge up money for my school. I am now fet up with hanging on one semester at a time, so I first talked to my school to see if I could get anything else in financhel aid. The school was not cooperative, and my adviser actroly spoke up for me at a board of trustees meeting when they were talking about setting up a privet loan program. I then found out through the Dean I was working with that my adviser and several other of my past professors spoke up for me.
I had been looking at joining the Navy for some time, since high school, but did not follow through with it till this year. I signed my contract in the Navy on October 29, 2009. I meet the body fat percentage, but not the weight. I have been trying to lose weight since the idea of joining seriously entered by head in 2008, in the school year 2008-2009 I lost 15 pounds. In 2009 I have changed what I eat, trying to get out of the college student diet. Now that I live with roommates off campus we cook every night a home cooked meal. I was going to the gym 4-6 days a week, but then finals hit and I stopped going for about 1.5 months. YIKES!!!
Now I have bought, an at home DVD workout video and we will try this.
Goals for 2010:
1. Run my mile and a half in 13:45 right now I run it in about 14:20.
2. Do 28 pushups with out stopping, single push, right now I can do about 21-25.
3. Eat as much vegetarian meals as roommates allow, I love vegetarian but most the time I succumb to pasta.
4. Keep an extra $20 in checking account after paying rent every month, and try to keep up with paying roommates for food and utilities.
5. Get and stay mentally strong, stop taking everything personally.
6. More will be added.

**** I am sorry for the general note everyone, but I am so busy I wanted to touch base with all my friends!!!! ****

Thank you so much for all the support and care you have offered me lately. You have no idea how much you mean to me. I wanted to let everyone know that I am steadily getting back on point even if I am not as present as normal here on spark. I have had a lot happen to keep me even busier than normal. Business at work is picking up (yeah!) but that means my time sparking at work isn't where it had been and then I am dedicating my home time for my kids and for me to work out and rest. I will not be using the computer to spark at home besides to track my nutrition or to get a recipe for dinner during the week. On weekends I need to try to keep it to a minimal. Right now the kids are not doing so hot emotionally. They really have the daddy blues and it in light of that I am working extra hard to keep their minds and bodies busy. On a side note, this means I am working out a little extra because we are working up a sweat with our playing. I hope that everyone has a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend.
