I just turned 38 years old in May. I am a middle school teacher with no children of my own. I am very active in my church, singing on the choir and praise team and over the praise dance and worship team. I LOVE God and all His many blessings. I joined Spark People over a year ago, but I have not been very diligent in losing weight. This time, I will succeed because I first sought the Lord and asked for His help in my weight loss battle. I know with Him, I am victorious! I am looking forward to using my new body to serve as a temple for Him and His works. He has big plans for me! Counting it all joy!

Fitness Minutes: 1,713

My Goals:
My weightloss goal is to lose 95 pounds before my next birthday, May 2013. My personal goal is to be able to cross my legs at the church revival this fall.

My Program:
After no weight loss on Slim Fast and having some stomach complications, I am now simply trying to eat a balanced 1200-1350 calorie meal each day. I am using Spark People's meal plan and I pray it works for me. CREATING a lifestyle change with some exercising!!!

Personal Information:
I am from South Carolina, a small country town called Cowpens. I am widow. I lost my husband in a motorcycle accident July 2011, on our anniversary. He had a passion for fitness and as I sit and think about him at times, it has finally motivated me to get back started.

If you are a reader, let me suggest Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers. It is a phenomenal book. They also have a study guide online that goes along with it (there is a free one).
