    Ready for a challenge this Summer? The BL Challenge is there for you! We have ten teams that compete with each other in Fitness and Nutrition Challenges designed your promote positive lifestyle changes, and of course weight loss. There are different challenges each week for the duration of the challenge. Support and encouragement are a important aspect of the smaller individual teams.     I have been back and forth with Spark People over the years. My username has changed almost every time. What keeps drawing me back is the back story of 'Spark Guy' who started all of this.
    To invest so much money in a website to help others who struggle with health and weight and self image....Awesome!
    Almost 2 years ago I lost about 30 lbs. Then we moved. The area I am in now is a predominantly farm area, there is almost no one in this town that is not overweight. They eat late, not many vegetables on the dinner tables, lots of sugars, fruits and starches. Lots of snack foods. Many social eaters and .
    I gained 20 lbs since being here. It is a battle and it does not make me a very popular person.
    Winters are longer here than in my former home state, and we moved away from all of my coworkers , friends and churches. Slowly I am trying to adjust to the lifestyle. Now I'm trying to develop a strategy of how to exercise in a cold climate, find privacy in a tiny house with a husband and 'VERY large family and how to keep in touch with those who are now far away.
    I did join a group of others losing using a program that starts with a 'T'. I like their magazine but am not all that willing to spend time on long meetings.with the emphasis on the scale.
    I like the calorie/food tracker in this website. The other trackers and goal setting trackers are helpful too.
    God willing I will be able to do this without feeling overwhelmed by the time involved...especially when I am called back to work and free time disappears.
