Hello, I am a 46 year old woman, on the verge of being 47 (October 12th). I will not turn 48 being this weight, so I have a year to be a healthy weight & body fat percentage & BMI.

I started at 180 lbs. on 9/1/07. I am 5'2" tall. I am medium framed.
My BMI was 32.5. Body Fat is 41.5%. Size 14 verge of 16.
My measurements were: 41"Breast, 36" Waist, 43 1/2" Hips, 24" Thigh, 15 1/2" Calf, 15" Upper Arm.

I would like to be on 3/1/08 (half-way) at 150 lbs.
BMI of 25. Body Fat of 31%. Size 10.
Measurements of 35" Breast, 28" Waist, 38" Hips, 22" Thigh, 13" Calf & 13" Upper Arm.

Final (9/1/08) at 120 lbs.
BMI of 20. Body Fat of 21%. Size 4 - 6.
Measurements of 33" Breast, 25" Waist, 35" Hips, 20" Thigh, 10" Calf, and 10" Upper Arm.

4 main other goals:

1. Be my driver's license weight (150 lbs.)
2. Be my weight when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter (who was a 10 lb baby) - I was 145 lbs.
3. See streaming daylight between my thighs when I have my ankle bones touching - I believe that will be around 130 lbs. but since I don't remember the last time it was like that I am not sure.
4. Train & Run the entire way & finish the Festival of Trails 5K in mid-June without walking.

Goal gifts to myself (no particular order).

1. New workout shoes (bought - Dec, 2007)
2. New workout clothes (bought - Nov & Dec, 2007)
3. Fat Monitor (bought, Dec 2007)
4. I-pod Nano & sports package & arm band (to put in shoes to monitor my progress & listen to music as I work out) (Bought Jan, 2008)
5. Heart Rate Monitor (bought Jan, 2008)
6. Cooking Light magazine (got as Christmas present in 2006)
7. New Fitness & Nutrition books (I buy at least 1 per month to add to my collection)
8. Turbo Jam DVD's
9. Digital Food Scale
10. Pedometer
11. Victoria Secret bra & panty set (black or red or both)
12. Fluffy white towels (when done working out & showering)
13. Breadmaker (bought Jan, 2008)

To be a slow-loser mentor to others when I get to goal weight; proving you can lose 60 lbs. slowly within a year.


My Program:
September 1 - December 31st:
Gym - 1 hour per time - 5 to 6 X per week.
Warm Up & Stretch - 10 minutes
Cardio - 40 minutes
Maximum Heart Rate
220 - 47 = 173
Try to work at 85% of maximum = 147 BPM for most of the workout & don't go below 75% = 130 BPM
Weights - 20 minutes
Cool Down - 5 minutes

January 1st - May 1st:

Cardio - 1 day per week
2 days per week strength training - upper body
2 days per week strength training - lower body

Calories - 1200 - 1500 per day

Get at least 4 bottles of water per day
2 fruits
2 vegetables



Personal Information:
I have been married for 28 years to a wonderful man & I have 2 grown children (Justin - 28 and Jenni - 27). I am real proud of my children & have done real well by themselves. It finally is time for me to take care of myself & do what is good for me.


Other Information:
I love to read non-fiction books & talk to people to find out what their lives are like & try to help them. I like good movies too, especially classic movies with strong women in them.
