Introduction Text A multitude of health issues and general lack of motivation have led me to be at my heaviest weight yet. Now that I have surgery coming up in June, I am finding the motivation I need to make important changes to my life. I'm making conscious efforts at eating better and have recently been rediscovering my love of being an outdoorsy gal. With hiking and camping coming back into my life, I'm finding the motivation I need to make big changes.

My name is Marla and I have lived in Tennessee all my life, aside from three months in Louisiana and two months in South Korea. I am 30 years old and am married to a wonderful man and am a mother to a 4 year old daughter. I suffer from both generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder, as well as bipolar disorder, type 2. These things make the goal of weight loss difficult in that I am an emotional eater, but I am trying my hardest to reign this in.
