W.W. QUEEN
I started attending Weight Watchers over 40 yrs. ago, when I was in high school. WOW...that makes me sound really OLD! The closest meeting was 90 miles- one way! My mother and I went together. I think she was doing it more for me than for her. She didn't want me to experience life as a fat person like she had. I guess I wasn't ready back then. In my mid-20's I went back to WW, and took off 75 lb. I didn't recognize the person that I saw in the mirror. I went thru a dramatic physical change, but ...

In my mid-20's I went back to WW, and took off 75 lb. I didn't recognize the person that I saw in the mirror. I went thru a dramatic physical change, but never really accepted my weight loss emotionally. I'd never had to deal with attention from the opposite sex, or jealousy from other women. I didn't even know how to accept a compliment. I gradually gained the weight back. It made me feel safe. Over the years I have lost 50 lb here...75 lb there, but I would always gain it back, +more, of course. I finally get it. Weight loss is not just physical...it's mental, and emotional. Even spiritual. I have all of the tools that I need here at SparkPeople, and at my WW meetings. I'm not afraid of failing. I'm not afraid of succeeding! It took me 40 years to get to this place- IT*SNEVER2LATE!!! --------------------------------- *TRIBUTE TO BETTY~* Betty Boop is a legend we grew up with and a lady with class, She can be a cowgirl or princess,quiet or sometimes full of sass. We can decide her mood for the day and create her image anew, She's got clothes most only dream of, that's what we love to do. Our imagination's can travel far with Betty Boop, So here's to you Betty,a big "Boop-Oop-A-Doop"! ------------------------------

My Goals:
Set short-term goals to
lower my blood sugar levels- OFF my insulin as of Jan/2011 WOO HOO!
Lose the weight slowly (as if I have a choice!)
Eat every 3-4 hrs to keep my blood sugar level.
Track my food intake & Fitness mins.
Eat breakfast within 1 hr. after waking.
My Program:
Doing WW. I like the flexibility of the program, & learning how to make healthy choices, yet still be able to splurge when I chose. Will attend my meetings weekly. I also have a couple of WW SparkTeams that I joined. WW & Sparks go great together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start out moderate on my recumbent exercise bike, say 30 mins. 3-4X/Week. I have a Tai Chi DVD I'm gonna try.
Personal Information:
I keep FAITH at the center of my life. I want to be able to enjoy the last 1/3rd of my life...hiking, road trips, State Parks & Vintage shops, Historical stops (ie.FREE stuff!) Also, on my bucket list, I'd like to go to Antique Archealogy (American Pickers) since it's less than 2 hrs. away
Other Information:
I live in Iowa, surrounded by corn fields, great old barns, wildlife, beautiful sunsets, crazy-cool thunderstorms,ditches full of wildflowers,and the Amish .
I'm 58-years young (too immature to be old!). I enjoy Christian music & classic oldies (Beatles,Fleetwood Mac,Tears For Fears), I like watching Iowa Hawkeye Basketball, Grandslam Tennis , Recipe hunting (for 1-2) I LOVE to watch PBR (Professional Bull Riding) Don't know HOW I got hooked on that!?! ,Dancing with the Stars,Biggest Loser. I'm a huge Joyce Meyer fan...got the bumper sticker & the rhinestone JESUS pin! And,obviously!, I'm a BETTY B00P fan :) She's the BOMB!
