I am a married mother of 5 kids great kids, I try to do my best everyday. I have a rare muscle disease that makes exercising more difficult but do NOT feel sorry for me, I am not here for pity and I don't feel sorry for myself.

My Goals:
My goals are as follows:

1. I want to weigh 128 pounds or atleast close by my birthday.

2. I want to have more energy to do more activities.
Update: As of today 7/10/11 I DO have lots more energy thanks to my 100 pounds lost!!!

3. I want to like my self.
Update: 7/10/11 I like my self a lot more!

4. I want to show everyone I can do this.
Update: 7/10/11 I have showed everyone I could lose a 100 pounds!!!


My Program:
I track all food intake, calories, protein, carbs and fat.
I track all exercise activities of all kinds.
I started doing the biggest loser the workout video.
Update: I track my sodium and fiber now too! I am also doing the biggest loser on kennect.

MOST IMPORTANT

I BURN MORE CALORIES THEN I EAT AFTER EVERYTIME I EAT!!!



Personal Information:
I started out weighing 268 pounds I lost 20 of that before having any support other then my family. Then I joined the biggest loser and even though I was completely disapointed in it I did lose 9 pounds using the blogs and keeping track like it instructed me. Then I found sparkpeople this is the site I know will help me to do my best and get me to my goal. Here I started at 239 pounds.
Update as of 7/10/11 I have lost over 100 pounds!!!! I love SparkPeople I owe it all to this site and everone on it!!!!


Other Information:
I have four children and a wonderful partner. I love to read and swim.

    Hi Again, Glad you stopped by to view my photos; yes, life is good today. But, I was a long time getting here! I have only one dog, SUGAR. She takes me for a walk every evening. The golden retrievers in the pictures belong to a friend; we take them out to run in fields off leash while we walk. Walking has really made a difference to me this past year. Be well, Joy

    You are welcome. It is a great site and you will find the support you need here. :-) We will reach our goals!!!

    It makes me sad that the BLL site has slowed so much and has its problems but the important thing is that we get the support we need. I think most of the people that were there when I joined have left.

    Hello and Welcome to Spark... this site is amazing and it offers all the tools you need to reach your goals. I would recommend joining a few teams... making friends is a great way to stay motivated and supported. Beyond that I would just use your trackers daily and remember to track your sodium.
    Under the "My Tools" tab you will see a link for Sparkpoints, doing the things you can to get your points daily will help keep you active and learning and the more you are here the more connected and invested you will feel.     There's so much to see on this site. I'd highly recommend using the food tracker - it's a great tool. If you're looking for encouragement and/or accountability join a spark team and/or challenge. I find they provide tons of motivation!
