By taking this positive step forward, I hope to connect w/ other members who are serious about being part of the SparkPeople community.

Perhaps, by working with others, I will be able to stay focused & motivated in reaching my personal goals.

My Goals:
Lose 20 lbs by 12/01/19 - current weight 215 lbs to target weight 195 lbs

10 min stretch 2x per wk

30 min walk 2x per wk

4 cups of water per day

6 hrs of sleep per night

5x per week cook & eat meals at home

Monitor Sugar Intake:
i.e. Eliminate Candy; Reduce Baked Goods; and, Reduce Sugary Beverages


My Program:
Currently, do my best to keep in good health both physically & mentally:

Work to keep active as much as possible; keep regular appts w/ therapist; take mild anti-depressant, fluid pill (for hypertension) and diabetes medication as prescribed; stay connected w/ support group to talk about life's ups & downs; work to maintain positive connections with friends & family; journal regularly and openly share w/ mentor; work to become more present in the moment by improving mindfulness through meditation; and, most important, work to improve relationship w/ God through prayer, studying scripture and positive praise.

    I am working to plug in and stay connected within the Spark Community and have restarted as well as joined a Spark Challenge: 21 Day New Member Challenge & Workplace Wellness Challenge.

    I am adjusting to my new work schedule - evenings from 3p to 12a - and am finding my way to a new schedule within my personal life as well.

    For example, I must set aside time to go to the gym and/or go for a nature walk and/or exercise around my apartment.

    My ultimate goal is to work towards being more efficient with my time. I don't really waste time, however, I could definitely be more time efficient.

    I have had more time for SparkPeople and that's a plus!

    I'm also part of various employee health programs available through my job; and, am excited to participate and earn rewards for getting healthy.

    Anyway, that's all for now.

    emoticon maybe you would have a better secusses if you joined the spark page for the city you live in. that way you may be able to find a local buddy to team up with. I notice your already on the team leaders so if that city doesn't have one (like mine) maybe you can bring it back to life.

    I finally got around to updating my SparkPage, however, I didn't update my weight ticker as of yet.

    Originally, I set it to 200 lbs because at the time that was much less than my weight. Now, I am at 188 lbs and must lower my target weight - probably to 175 lbs.

    I'll put some thought into it and make a few additional tweaks to my page soon. I'm just glad I was able to check in and make some updates to my page because I've been so busy that I haven't had time for too much of anything - anything fun, that is.
