Oh thank you so much for the beautiful flowers. You know what, it is my pleasure to share those sites with you. I have been where you are and know the helpless, frustrated feeling.
I hope these sites help. The support I can guarantee is awesome. Everyone "gets it".
I don't know how old your son is, but the earlier you can help him the better. My DS wasn't diagnosed till 13. I regret not doing it earlier but can't do anything about that. I am just glad we found out and could offer him help.
Impulsivity is a HUGE thing for my DS. Day-to-day it has to be worked on. But like I keep telling him, his diagnoses are an explanation NOT an excuse to do what he KNOWS is wrong. And @ 19, he DOES know the difference.
Remember, too, emotionally these kids are about 3 yrs. behind their peers. That's just part and parcel of the "alphabets" they have. So, they need to have help learning how to navigate through this.
It is such a challenge on a marriage, as well. But, again, with eyes wide open, you can keep things on track!
