I want my forties to be the time of my life.
I have been a member of SP for 7 years. I had always been active playing sports and dancing. Over the years a lot has changed. When I first started, I was 150lbs. and looking to find new recipes and ideas for weight loss to lose 5-10 lbs. I didn't use the community features, blogs or interact with groups / people etc. I quickly fell of the wagon so to speak and yo-yo dieted for a few years. I was at my heaviest (185lbs.) in July ...
I was at my heaviest (185lbs.) in July 2016 while going through a horrible divorce. I quickly realized my new found freedom gave me the foundation to take time to work on myself. I lost 30 lbs. by being active and prepping my meals daily. I had confidence and my self esteem was high.
I then met the love of my life while out dancing to live music. It was love at first sight. We moved in together and have not looked back since. Over the next year, I started to gain the weight back; hello binge watching Netflix. This is when I started to notice, I am a little more than an emotional eater. I used to eat to fight off depression which got me to 185 lbs. Now, I'm at 184 and the happiest I have ever been. However, I over indulge on all my favorite foods mindlessly.
After seeing a picture of myself at a wedding in October 2018, I knew the time had come to focus on my health. Also, my annual doc visit blood work showed borderline diabetic, ekk.. My fiance and I started to cook healthier options for dinner and I have been doing my best not to eat out for lunch and prepping my food. I have managed to stay the same weight..
Time for the exercising to commence. This is where I lack motivation. While my fiance encourages me daily, I need more interaction with others. I am a compassionate and competitive person. I love outside motivation by seeing others succeed and cheering them on. I strive to see what is possible to challenge myself.. So I have come back to SP to make this lifestyle change the best experience I possibly can.
I want my 40's to be the time of my life. I will be working to achieve a 50 lbs. weigh loss and lifestyle change. Let's do this!

My Goals:
My goal is to recreate myself into the person my mind believes I am. I want to dance without getting winded and be more active out doors again.
According to the doc's, I should weigh 120-125 lbs. (60+ lbs currently over weight) I prefer to be in the 135 range.
My Program:
Full of small lifestyle steps, and take it a day at a time.
Personal Information:
I am currently following the Keto diet as recommenced by a doctor and dialing in on my macros. I am a happy "mom" of four nutty fur babies and in in the early stages of planning a wedding.
