I am a retired teacher--taught 1st graders for 35 years. Am now very involved in volunteer projects, mostly throught my church. I love to travel and cruise. Am married (45 years) and have 1 son and 2 grandsons.

September, 2009
I've decided it's time to start over! I am determined to do better and to be successful!
I do get in regular exercise at Curves but I've not been very good with the diet! BUT, I'm not going on a diet, I'm going to work on life changes especially with my eating habits!

August 2018

Four and a half years since I lost my husband. I still talk to him but know one day I will see him. I have discovered that I’m stronger than I ever thought. I continue to travel and have learned I can do things he always did.

June 2014
My life has changed drastically since losing Chuck in January. I am learning I can do things I never thought I could do--like mowing the lawn! Chuck was the one who loved to work outside and I enjoyed what he planted! This year I took the easy way out--I planted artificial flowers! They bloom all year and I never have to worry about watering them!
October 2014
I'm approaching 9 months of being alone. I don't like it but I'm keeping busy. I have gotten back to Curves and I have lost 25 pounds. I WILL SURVIVE!

My Program:
I'm doing good with exercise. Have started doing Curves Smart which is a big help to me
Now I really need to work on the food!

emoticon Why was the Easter Bunny so upset?
He was having a bad hare day.

emoticon How does the Easter Bunny stay healthy?
    Lots of Eggs-ercise; specifically hare-obics

emoticon Where does the Easter Bunny like to eat after he delivers all his eggs?
    IHOP

emoticon What do you call a line of rabbits jumping backwards?
    A receding hare-line

emoticon How can you tell which rabbits are the oldest?
    Look for the grey hares.

emoticon How do you make Easter easier?
Replace the "T" with an "I"

emoticon Did you hear about the fifty-pound jelly bean?
    It’s pretty hard to swallow!

emoticon How does the Easter Bunny get around to deliver all of his Easter eggs?
    By hare plane.

emoticon What do you get when you cross the Easter Bunny with Kermit the Frog?
    A bunny ribbit.

emoticon Easter is the only time of year when it’s safe to put all your eggs in one basket.
If they’re chocolate eggs or Cadbury Crème Eggs, put them in mine.

emoticon Easter is another great eggs-cuse for Chocolate!

emoticon Forget the Easter bunny. At my age, I need one that can do me some good – like the Energizer bunny.

emoticon If you’re feeling down, put your sunny side up, and your hard times will be over easy.

I hope you have a wonderful and very Hoppy Easter weekend!

    Happy Friday!
After being housebound for the week I think it's definitely time for some fun with a few jokes and riddles that I'm hoping will bake your day just a little brighter and batter.
Nuttin's better than starting the weekend off than a few good giggles, and here's a variety of cookie jokes you can pick and chews from.
Some of these jokes are a little nutty, just like me.
Feel free to indulge and enjoy because they're calorie free!

Why did the cookie go to the doctor?
    Because he felt crummy.

Why couldn't Cookie Monster make his bed?
He couldn't find a cookie sheet.

What cookie can make you rich?
    Fortune Cookies

Why did the thief rob the Keebler Elves?
Because they had a large stash of dough.

Why did the little cookie cry?
Because his mommy was a wafer too long.

How can you tell that a blonde has been making chocolate chip cookies?
There's M&M shells scattered all over the kitchen floor.

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray: "Take only ONE. God is watching." Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."

Have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend, in spite of how the cookie crumbles!

“Knowing when you should weigh your options, remain calm, and not take everything at face value has certain benefits. Ending the day with a peaceful soul is one…”
    ~ Virginia Alison

Optimism is an expectation of the future, but hope is a way of experiencing the present. Optimism argues with the predictions of cynicism and bitterness, and is often proved wrong. Hope rejects cynicism and bitterness as unhelpful, and is perennially proved right. - Doug Muder

Thanks for the goodies, and I hope you are doing well.
Keep your face toward the sunlight, and enjoy the weekend.
