I am Grateful for a full, rich and Blessed life!

My husband and I have been gifted with the presence of two beautiful grand-nieces and now a grand-nephew. Great incentive to stay healthy!

I started Spark in June of 2007 (at my sister's suggestion), restarted a few times and finally became 'serious' two years later after receiving my before photo. I met goal weight in late December 2009 and as incentive and reward went to Barbados with friends. (It is so wonderful NOT having to try on bathing suits...)

I continued to lose weight, partially because I couldn't figure how to reset the nutrition tracker, partly because I increased my exercise and partly because I was not yet comfortable with my body. I lost 10 more pounds over the next 3 months, for a total of 35 pounds and settled into my 'home shape.'

I celebrated a year anniversary of my before picture 5/24/10. Since that time I've fluctuated a few pounds and maintained a healthy BMI of 19-20.

I've found great friends with amazing stories, drive, determination and accomplishments on this site, and am honored to share in their victories and setbacks however small or large.

My goal is to be 'Fit for Life', so while I remain committed to healthy eating and exercise, I've expanded my horizons to include meditation. I am thoroughly enjoying my new journey, my new friends and my new adventure into blogging.

I hope all who visit my spark page, will find this site as rewarding as I have.

Update 01.30.12: I am starting on a new fat loss and muscle gain journey and shedding 10 'holiday' pounds.

Update 03.20.12: I am ThanksGiving for the miracles in my life as I continue on my healthy journey.

Update 07.03,14: Getting the Spark back - 5 more pounds and much muscle to go...

Update 04.25.15: At home weight and settling in.

Update 04.17.19: Motivator of the Day is a wonderful recognition. Weight is in the 123s, exercise is restarted including my beloved swimming and meditation and gratitude are the center of my journey.

My Program:
Continue healthy eating and exercise including 3 days of cardio, 2 days of strength training, riding my bike to work, with GFs on Saturday & DH on Sunday. Improve my meditation journey, faithful consumption of 8 glasses of water daily and moderate red wine consumption.

    Good Morning KALIGIRL, Thank you for the answer. It is the time of the year. I have maintained for over a month now and haven't changed a thing. I work out everyday and drink atleast 20 glasses of water a day. So that is it. I know Thanksgiving is here, but I have changed my life style and I'm haven't been through a Holiday season yet, this is my first. I'm afraid of going back to my old habits, and I guess my body is reminding me of how it used to feel,and I don't want that feeling any more. Hope you have a Great Thanksgiving. Thank you again for the answer. emoticon
