I've been a part of Sparkpeople since something like 2006?? Wow-6 years! It's been a wonderful part of my life for a long time now! I'm going to be welcoming my daughter into this world near the end of September 2012, and want to continue using Sparkpeople to get back into shape post-baby.

I've not exercised NEARLY enough since becoming pregnant, although I am still quite active. I've gained about 22 pounds so far, and I'm pretty happy about that. I want to run in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon again in 2013, which will be about 8 months after my daughter is born. I plan on using this wonderful site to help me do it again! (I had just started training for it this year when I found out I was pregnant)

My Goals:
Be healthy for myself and my family!

Start running again after baby

Eat well (don't just count calories. make them count!)


My Program:
To simply get into the habit of making healthy choices automatically. It shouldn't have to take a lot of thought, you know! I'm slowly getting there.

I'd like to move towards more "whole foods." I'm trying to buy fewer pre-packaged things now. But, working 6 days a week, and managing a family, sometimes pre-packaged is simply more convenient.

I have a little Amish store down the road from my house that sells organic, whole wheat pastas and bulk spices for super cheap. I've been trying to use that more and more. And it seems to be working. I'm also trying to incorporate it into my family's diet as well.

*success!* The kids LOVED the whole wheat pasta! Hubby wouldn't try it, though. Yet.



I'm a member on the most supportive Spark team I've found-the Wedding Season/Summer Spark team. If you want to join-let me know! I love the girls on that team! Without them, I wouldn't have made it this far!

Personal Information:
Helllooo!!! I'm happy to report that I met all of my goals in 2011. I ran my first half marathon in May 2011, and fell in LOVE with it! I just started training in January of this year for the half when I found out I was pregnant with my baby girl. She's due September 21, 2012, and I can't wait to meet her!!!


GOALS FOR 2011:

1. Run a 5K
2. Run a Half
3. STOP SMOKING
4. Be healthy





Other Information:
I love music. All kinds! I've been a classical pianist for most of my life. I love to play as often as possible. Which, I'm sad to say, isn't all that often anymore. Sometimes life just gets in the way!
