SPARKGUY
Hi Kat - thanks for the comment! We would like to do some kind of "offline" SparkPeople projects someday after we get a little more established online. I'm not sure when that will be or which direction it will take. Keep in touch, who knows, there could be some kind of franchise-type opportunity!

Hi Kat! Found you on the Discuss SparkPeople Healthy Reflections Email Message Board. I want you to know that your comments encourage me. Have you found a buddy yet?
I also have benefitted from Scott Peck´s writing. Next to my Bible, his "Road Less Travelled" helped me more than any other book I´ve read.
I work with the deaf in a church where I live and I recognize that there is a different mentality of the deaf from the hearing mentality, not inferior in any way, just different. Probably this is due to differences in perceptions of the world and responses to it. I think I may never be capable of fully understanding, however, perhaps recognizing it will make a difference in how I am able to participate in the lives of these individuals.
I can see that you have been working hard to change your lifestyle and are getting closer and closer to your weightloss goals. I am slowly changing and slowly losing weight - it looks like it will take much longer than at first I thought it would. I am determined to stick with it and I know this will work! 5313 days ago

Hey, buddy! I was just stopping in to check out your page. I admire all your goals. Here's my favorite quote (I have it framed in caligraphy)
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent.
Speaking of recycled lawn art, there's a guy who came to a local festival in May and I loved his stuff. www.ecoartbytim.com
