    Hey! Thanks for the comment on my blog. Basically I remembered this article that I had read ages ago when I first started called "Calorie Calculation 101" and went back to that for help with the raw numbers. Obviously it's just a rough guess and it'd be better if I actually got my BMR measured, . . . but I don't have the money to do that. So here's the link to the article:

    That article basically explains how SP comes up with your recommended calorie range and all that. As I was looking for this article so I could send you the link, I also stumbled upon the following article (which is more what you are looking for, it just seems more confusing to follow so if you use both you can probably figure out your BMR).
