Good luck w/all the doc appts. in one day!! Sounds like my social life! Tomorrow I have physical therapy; then appt. w/pain management doc & then 5:30-7:00 p.m. "Mindfulness Weight Loss Group" which is led by my psych meds provider & a therapist so it isn't a yucky appt.!!
One day I had scheduled my internal med doc; pain management doc & dentist all in one day as it hurt my hands to drive so figured I'd get it all done in one fell swoop (not smart; thought it was, but it was too overwhelming) & I just couldn't do it! Had to cancel dentist!
Hope you do OK. Also, check out the fda.gov/MedWatch site (think that is correct; just check out fda.gov & there will be a list of all their info. available) as then you will be able to have the most recent info. on all your meds.
I take Concerta 72 mg in the morning (have for 15 or so years), but I also take Provigil (non-addictive stimulant for excessive daytime sleepiness). I weigh close to 200 lbs. (NOW--WEIGHED ABOUT 145 when first dxed; Abilify was the culprit in my weight gain; Plus, well, ME!! I had SOMETHING TO DO W/MY WEIGHT GAIN--DUH!!) & was dxed w/ADHD at the same time as bipolar through testing & interviews w/a specialist.
Don't think I could exist w/out Concerta & Provigil. Provigil is also being shown in the literature as an add-on for bipolar & being considered by the FDA for approval as a bipolar medication, but it is a long process (my psych meds provider provided this info. to my ins. co. as they denied paying for Provigil when she first prescribed it 15 years ago as it is listed for narcolepsy & shift workers & I had a sleep study & I don't have narcolepsy--just terribly interrupted sleep).
So, anyway, the ins. co. reversed their decision (thank goodness, as it was VERY EXPENSIVE). Now available in generic. Tried a few days w/out Concerta & Provigil as a "test" & was exhausted all day; just slept. No energy at all.
Adding a sleep medication when you take Concerta some docs have a problem w/it. They say, "Well, maybe you aren't sleeping due to taking the Concerta (side effect)." So maybe be ready for that & have a reasonable explanation (if you have one) as to why the Concerta is not interfering w/your sleep.
I take Trazodone (50-100 mg according to how long it has been since I've been able to sleep for any good length of time--so I decide if I take 1 or 2 pills {at one point was up to 3 pills when I was totally sleep-deprived}, like at least a 3-hour stretch is a "good" length for me, & I also take .5-1.0 mg of Klonopin at night for anxiety which disturbs my falling asleep--for me it is physical symptoms of a huge weight pressing down on my chest, like a heart attack). It makes it hard to breathe, much less sleep!
I have had so many heart tests--EKG, echo-cardiogram (sp?), etc. to check for heart problems &, thankfully, it IS just anxiety so, again, I use that--1 or 2 pills according to how badly I feel the anxiety is. I very rarely take Klonopin during the day unless I am paralyzed w/anxiety as it makes me sleepy & I don't need that! But if I am worthless due to anxiety I may as well be worthless, tired & w/out anxiety!
Once I did want my husband to take me to the ER during the day as I truly thought I was having a heart attack as the chest pain was so bad. My husband asked if I tried the Klonopin; since it was 5:00 a.m. I hadn't thought of that (again, rarely take Klonopin during the day).
He said to take the Klonopin while he got dressed & if in 20 minutes I didn't feel better off to the ER we would go. Smart husband--20 minutes later chest pains were decreasing! But surprising that it could get so severe that even though I KNOW that is a symptom of my anxiety I still thought of heart attack & didn't even try the Klonopin...
I carry caffeine pills around during the day even w/the Concerta & Provigil as I have fallen asleep while driving...
This is probably too late; you've probably left already for all your appts. Just know I'm thinking of you & wishing/hoping all your appts. go well.
Your lights look fantastic! I guess it was worth all the effort, frustration & ladder climbs, eh? My lone pumpkin on the porch is pretty paltry. That is very nice of you to provide such a happy thing for your friends & neighbors to enjoy!!

Kimberly, Thanks for making my day much more brighter by sending me a "Goodie."
My procedure for pain reduction for my right foot on 8/28 wasn't successful, but the doc called & he wants to do it again as soon as I return from vacation on Sunday so scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday (didn't know you could try it twice so maybe there IS hope). I just want to make sure insurance will pay for it as I have to go to surgery center & be put under w/a general anesthesia so it is expensive.
Anyway--you know me--THE RAMBLER & this "comment" (manifesto) is certainly proof! Sorry to start rambling on when I wanted to express my appreciation!!
