It seems I've been here and done this so many times before, yet I always lost motivation and fell back into the old habits. Now I am claiming the realization that it's still not too late to make some lasting changes to my lifestyle, and ultimately to my life! I'm still encouraged by my old motto of "Today is the first day of the rest of my life" but I'm adding to it this time: "...and I know God goes with me each step of the way. With Him, nothing is impossible."

My Goals:
Ultimate weight loss goal: To be at 145 pounds, which means that I lose 45 pounds.

Short Term Goal: Lose 1 pound /week which would put me at 175 by April 30.

My Program:
Track food input.

Eliminate the junk food!

Exercise on a regular and disciplined basis, to include both strength training and cardio.

Increase water intake.

Maintain 8 hours of sleep/night.

Force myself to think positively.

I will stop making excuses.

Seek to do this not for my glory, but to show forth the Lord's power, and Hi s ability to answer prayer.

Personal Information:
I am from southwestern Pennsylvania, we live on a small farm that has been in our family since about 1915. We raise some beef cattle, chickens and pigs, plus the usual cats and dogs. It is a blessed place to live, and it was a grand place to raise our four children. It is now our grandchildren's favorite place to be!

Other Information:
My husband, son, three daughters and eleven grandchildren are my favorite people in this world. I love to read, with authors like Lynn Austin and Francine Rivers being among my favorite contemporary authors. Bess Streeter Aldrich and Louisa May Alcott rank high on my list of favorite classic authors. I love watching movies, especially on Friday night "dates" with my husband with a bowl of popcorn. I love having a clean and organized house (but seldom do! That's another journey that I am on...). I know there is nothing good within me, but I have it all as I have the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. May I glorify Him in this weight-loss journey!
