I am thankful God gave me a strong body.
I CAN make healthy choices every moment.
I CAN be better than I was yesterday.
I AM better than I was yesterday!
I will stumble, I will fall, but I WILL get up and be BETTER and STRONGER than ever.

I have learned that without God everything is harder! When I put Him first everything falls into place. And it couldn't be more true here, on this journey. With God as my focus I can do anything I set out to do. I am determined to be healthy and strong, and set a healthy example for my children.

I joined Spark in 2007. My weight had settled to 175 after my youngest son was born. I used the nutrition tracker and I walked everywhere I needed to go. I also managed to sqeeze in yoga once a week. I lost 35 pounds in 4 months and I was thrilled. Then I had a few setbacks and gained back 5 pounds, then 5 more... well 4 years later and 20 pounds heavier I came back. I've been here pretty much the whole time but I really wasn't taking advantage of the site and I really wasn't exercising. I didn't realize how much less active I am than I used to be. I never had to fit exercise in - I was just active. That realization has made a huge impact on my journey. My focus shifted from wanting to be thin to wanting to be strong and energetic again. I've learned that every moment is another chance to be the best me I can.

My name is Katie. I am 33 years old and married to my high school sweetheart. I am a stay-at-home mom with 3 young boys, ages 11, 8 and 7. I am a carb addict and I work in a bakery - yikes.

    Hi there! Sorry I haven't been on SP much this week...I had a great first week back-to-school though! I think I'll mostly just be on to log fitness and nutrition during the week but will get to catch up with my SP friends on the weekends.

    I just climbed Mailbox Peak near North Bend, WA a few days ago and it made me think of you and being all healthy and outdoorsy. My thighs are still killing me from the climb.
