1 Corinthians 6:20 (New Living Translation)

20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Hello! My name is Tina and I am a 40 year old mother of three and granny of one. I live with bipolar disorder and am prone to severe depression. In my younger days I experienced more of the mania which led me to make some really bad choices that I am still trying to fix.

I have an addictive personality. Food has been my recent addiction which is why I am here. I have been on a weight loss/gain roller coaster since I was a freshman in high school. I have managed to kick many of the bad addictions I've had but food continues to be my comforter.

Three years ago I started weight watchers (again) and lost 65 lbs over the course of about a year and a half. I started dating a guy who got me into weight lifting. We worked out all the time! The gym became my new addiction....until I broke up with the guy and did everything I could to avoid seeing him at the gym. I joined another gym in an effort to avoid him. However I really missed having the motivation of a workout buddy. The final nail in the coffin came when I fell down my steps and broke two bones in my foot! I became depressed, quit working out and 95 lbs came back.

So here I am again!

This time is different because I'm doing it for Jesus Christ my LORD and SAVIOR!! He has been so good to me and has brought me through so many other things in my life that I know HE can bring be through this too. I am leaving the "poor me" behind and giving it to the LORD! I cannot wait to see where He takes me.

    Hello Tina
I am so glad to be back on Sparkpeople and my weight loss. Thank you for the gift and I added you as a friend, I hope that is ok. I have an addiction to candy, I will never give it up lol but as time goes by I will eat less of it. eating healthy for me does not come easy, I want all the wrong foods, I want to eat when and as much as I want. now I am back I will track my food and water. and yes exercise when I do it lol I love walking outside. I also have a treadmill so I don't really have a good excuse not to exercise except I'm lazy and I need to make an effort to do it. so thanks again for taking the time to think of me and giving me a gift. we can and we will lose weight one day at a time. emoticon

Hi Tina, how is it going. What are you stressed about? Work the stress off by exercising, not eating. You will feel much better afterward. You can do this.
