Update: Wow I have been gone for a while...lol...5/4/12***********
***********I am expecting! Yay excited and worried about the weight gain and losing it! I know I will have my work cut out for me, but I will enjoy this pregnancy journey!**************

Ummm....what next...Half marathon completed in May! I know....I will continue on my journey! Yep there is more to be done! I will start "Stripped" May 31st! 28days of stripping...stripping clean of the sugars including the splenda,etc...dairy (just for this short time-journey)...and stripping of 10lbs (the goal)+5=10inches. Here goes....I will still track my points (WW) and continue to go to meetings (luv the meetings).

As for workouts...contemplating another half marathon in the fall. I will definately do a turkey run on T-day! I will continue to run 3xweek, other cardio-2days, STx3-4days week...and sneak in some zumba 1-2x wk! There you have it....my sketch of a plan for the summer!

I am married to my best friend (3/28/10)! I am working mom with a 5yr old that keeps growing! I have been on the weigh loss wagon for a long time...and I am tired of falling off! I can do this! I was introduced to sparkpeople by my sister a couple years ago, but never really took advantage of it! Well now its time! I no longer have to do this by myself..with the help of God, my supportive husband, mom and sister I CAN and WILL finally DO this...and keep it off!

I am a Seventh-Day Adventist who loves the Sabbath, and looks forward to it every 7th day (Saturday), God's Holy Day of Rest!

I ran the Chicago marathon at 188lbs! So I know if I achieved that (as well as run races, 1/2 marathon,etc....So any one who inspires to be a runner, YOU CAN DO IT!

I want to be able to fit back in my jeans, not have to worry about what I am wearing to church (because half of clothes are to tight), develop that inner confidence that I know hides within, be able to shop where i want!!

I am on a journey with 3 goals in mind:

#3-the journey of transitioning with my hair from relaxed to natural...oh what a MAJOR challenge especially when it comes to working out. GOAL-to luv my new hair and embrace it!...LUVING MY HAIR...CURRENLY ROCKING SISTERLOCS! THE BEST CHOICE FOR MY ACTIVE LIFESTYLE!

#2-Weighloss...I know I can do it....10/11/10-Its a coming slowly

#1-Continue to grow spiritually !-this is evergoing!

-Train for half marathon (May 1st,2011)-start Feb1st -DONE

-Train for marathon (Chicago-Oct-2011)start June 2011 *** decided not to do marathon this yr....not feeling it! LOL

-Weekly review of food how do i feel overrall?

REEVALUATION PLAN...WHEN I GET THERE.....lose more? ok the charts probably say that I should! But how do I feel??

-Lose fat/gain muscle-tracking-done by measuring tape 1-2/month and how clothing fits


My Program:
-To follow meal plan on high carbs/low carbs days

-Set weekly goals when wrking out doing-ST

-Cardio at least 5x week- to include HIITx3
- Abs x3/wk

-ST-total body-on day week, 3 other days-split workouts-go as heavy as possible




Personal Information:
I am from Indiana. I am a working professional with a masters in health administration and currently work for one of the biggest/ greatest Transplant Centers in the USA, Indiana University Hospital Transplant Center!


Other Information:
I love to read, shop, workout and spend time with my family!

I am an AM exerciser...everything about the day is RIGHT esp. if I get in that morning adrenaline rush!

    LOL...thanks!! And girl I have PLENTY of muscle to gain...have you seen some of the pro figure girls...I'm a shrimp compared to them, haha. So it's time to keep on eating clean, lifting hard and packing on some muscle onto these bones :-)

    Abt my coffee....I brew my own at home or at work and yes I drink it black. Once in a while I put 1-2 tbsp of muscle milk lite (the protein drink, not powder) in it but that's a cheat/treat. During comp prep I couldn't have anything in it so I pretty much got used to drinking it black :-)

    I am glad that you are enjoying the bootcamp. I am getting out to the gym because I just cannot seem to get out before the sun is in full swing. I still using my tapes. I am doing well nutritionally...actually eating in my calorie range of 1200-1500 modifying by choosing the proteins and veggies first & trying to keep my water to at least 100 ozs. emoticon emoticon

    Hey! You're so sweet to check in on me. All is well... still trying to get a bunch of stuff done before summer ends for good. Went out to an archery class the other day and I'm struggling to once again get myself regular at the gym. (lol)... It's all a journey, right?

    But indeed, all is well thanks! Still working on yet another 40 pounds. It's like so close and yet, so far away.... (sigh, laugh)... pray for me girl. ha...

    emoticon I do my best with EVERYTHING I do in my life...I go all out 100% all the time, LOL. Otherwise it's a waste of my time, haha. Yes I did put my all into my workout this morning and will do the same when I go back this afternoon emoticon It's go big or go home and I ain't going home!!

    Yes posing is hard but practice makes perfect so I practice a lot...practicing was the last thing I did before going to sleep last night :-)

    And yes I do have cravings every now and then but nothing near as intense or often as I used to have before I started with Ruben. Clean Eating for the last 7 months have significantly decreased the intensity of my cravings. Eating such clean and good food helped to rid my body of all the toxins and junk that made me have the cravings in the first place. Not to mention how much better I feel during the day, during my workouts and sleep at night...it's a complete 180 from where I started!!

    Girl what treats?? We don't get treats/cheats, LOL!! I started with Ruben Jan 1 and since then I shared dessert with my hubby twice...once on Valentine's Day and once on my Bday...that's it!! I realize that the results wouldn't come if my eating didn't change. I was always very active but it wasn't until my eating changed that the results started coming - before that I was stuck...that's the BEST thing I've learned during competition prep. I have to fuel my body right if I want to see results...once I changed my eating and saw how my body looked there is no going back for me...booyah!! emoticon

    Gots to run now...today is pampering day emoticon
