Just a chick looking to lose the extra weight I am carrying on my body, heart and mind


My story...I was an average kid growing up, hit my teens and was a skinny lil thing. I think the fact that my friends and I walked everywhere we wanted to go and if it was nice, we were active outside. I graduated HS weighing @110-115 pounds. I went away to college and gained a lil as expected, but really started to slowly put on pounds when I dropped out... of college after my second year and needed to start taking anxiety meds.

Fast forward to 2003...I was working retail full time and on my feet all day. I worked all the time and was active with friends. It was also in that year that I met my now ex and fell in love. We moved in together about a year later and we both just gained weight. We weren't active, we ate huge portions of food, and eventually we were just unhappy. At my highest I weighed around 230 pounds.

We broke up January of 2011. I was an absolute wreck because for 7 years, he was my life. I started to lose some weight mostly because I was too sad to eat. Things got better and I finally made it into the 180's a couple of month ago. Now, I am single and dating, working a full time desk job and living on my own and eating all my meals as takeout. I have only really cooked for a date. I find it kind of hard to cook for just one person and I suck at leftovers. I hibernate in winter and weighed myself the other day...back to 199. I am bummed, but I will lose this weight again. I have the mud run to look forward to. I have boys to meet. I have a plan to move West where it will require much less clothing.

My ultimate goal...140. It will be mine!!
