Introduction Text High my name is Linda, I am 60. I have 3 children an 2 step children, 13 grand kids and 1 great grandchild. I have always said all these kids keep you feeling young. In 1990 I stopped smoking and 1 year later had my thyroid removed. All was well up to last year just after I retired I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had the cancer removed and then my health just got more complicated. Put on a hormone replacement tablet that kills of any cancer cells then started getting hot flushes. Never had one in the previous 10 years.. I was then told borderline diabetic no treatment so far, (hope to prevent it) high cholesterol,pill for that, now the latest high blood pressure on another pill. Only been on this a month and still getting used to it. So much for sitting back and enjoying my retirement.

My short term goal is to be able to use to loose 5 lbs a month.

Walking every day Stretching exercises. Now I have a stationary bike and will be using that . But need to loose a bit more first.

I have been married for 32 years have 3 children and 2 step children. Last November I had my 14 grand child. My husband has not had good health for the past couple of years, but we are getting there.

My hobbies include Reading mystery and thriller books. Listening to country music, 60s and some classical. Since joining SP I have discovered walking.
