Tell you what, I'll swap you some of our high winds here to blow away the humidity, if you'll send us some rain! Don't you just wish we could do that?

We're surging here, too, because people are being stupid. Okay, I know that sounds harsh, but they are. Down in the valley, once they reopened bars, some bar owners are letting people crowd in with no social distancing, no masks, no nothing. To make matters worse, since it's so hot down there they're starting to flock up here. Our case numbers here (the NW part of the state) have been relatively low so far, but they're surging down in the valley. I sure wish they'd all stay home!

I'm so sorry to hear your brother-in-law is ill. I hope it's something that will respond to treatment well.

Hey, Linda! Thanks for posting to my page and on my blog. I'm feeling pretty good these days, just a bit old emoticon . I seem to discover a new ache almost daily! May here was abnormally dry, but overall only the extreme NE part of the state is under drought conditions, so we're actually doing better this year than in recent ones. Of course, this is our dry season anyway. We'll see how things look once the monsoon season starts (hopefully) next month.

I had to put Bear to sleep in early March. He was almost 17 and his kidneys got so bad that he just stopped eating. Last month I adopted a new little guy, Winston. He's about 2 and a half as far as anyone can tell and very sweet. He and Oreo are negotiating arrangements for co-existence. So far, no actual blood has been shed, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

How are things back east? My friend in VA tells me that they got some heavy rain moving through recently with Arthur. Did you get in on that as well?

How are things going for you these days? I've been pretty boring, having curtailed almost all unnecessary trips due to Covid-19, except for grocery shopping and walks around the neighborhood. The numbers in AZ are spiking right now, although things are better up where I live. Have you seen many cases around your area?

At any rate, I expect I'll be running into you at the cafe. It's going to be the only eating out I've done in months!
