Welcome to the Goonies. I'm hypothyroid also, feel best on lower GI foods like you, am a big believer in Vit D, and am your neighbor to the north in Maryland. So we have a few things in common. I'm currently learning more about the chemicals in the equation, i.e. calories in & out do not equal weight loss & gain alone, and detox is very important for weightloss (I arrived here kicking and screaming - didn't want to hear about organic etc.). I'm doing The No S Diet for food, and The Step Diet Team for exercise. The "No Snacks" part of the No S Diet has really helped my insulin resistance, while the "No Sweets except on S Days" has really helped me adopt a lifestyle change of healthy I can live with every day for the rest of my life, instead of going off and on strict diets. The built-in portion control of The No S Diet has been the biggest helper of my blood sugar, more than I could have ever imagined. There is lots of support with the Goonies when you post, welcome! Carol

Did you still need a pancake recipe with whey protein? We made some great wheat pancakes the other day that I can post the recipe for if you're interested. 3743 days ago
