Introduction Text I don't miss the snow or the cold of Upstate New York, but I miss the people and my family. The Arizona desert and mountains are beautiful and keep me inspired. Sparkpeople keeps me motivated to reach my goals. Since I started Sparkpeople so much has happened. My parent's did celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 1st 2006! And then in September 2010, my dad passed away. Mom has been missing him so much but at age 92, she keeps on finding meaning in life. My 64 yr old sister Laurie passed away in March 2015. She was the co-leader of Sparkpeople "Moving Forward Through Grief and Loss" Spark team. My family misses her so much, but memories of her make us smile. I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, reaching my goal weight in 1990! Yes, that 1990! Now I am heavier than ever and am ready to release everything that is holding me back from my true self.

Mind, body, spirit balance through exercise, eating right, positive thoughts and meditation.

Portion control, eat more veggies (wish I liked veggies more!), exercise, embrace my imperfections, celebrate my successes.

I am a social worker who has a passion for therapeutic horseback riding (equine therapy). I used to sing opera, retired from American Airlines 10 years ago and am in my "third life" now that I am a social worker.
