Hiya my name is nat :D

Well, this is really me returning to the site after a year and a halfs break. I got there, my goal weight. Life was bliss. I went back to finish my final year of highschool. Was taking on the world!

At least I was. Last year I was struck by tragedy. April 2nd, 2012, my dear best friend Nikki passed away. She was 19. My life fell apart, and I could barely function, trading school for sitting at home, almost afraid to leave the house, and crying my eyes out. Eventually, I did start heading out, but it was purely to go out, dress trashy and drink, hoping that the false elated feeling one gets while clubbing would eventually rid me of the burden of pain. I felt like I had no one to talk to, despite the fact people were there with open arms. I just wanted to talk to her.

I gained 6kg in the depressed state I was in. I'd look at my scales and feel worse. Nikki would have been so disappointed. We got excited about weight loss together, about the possibilities opening to us as our self esteems opened up. She wasnt a big girl, she was tiny, so she was more intent on just being healthy. I tried to work on getting the weight back, and managed to dropped back to 84kg. Then I tore a ligament in my foot, and was out for the next 10 weeks for any exercise.

After tearing the ligament, I became complacent, lazy, and ate whatever was presented to me. Now I weigh 95kg again. I'm almost ashamed to look at the scales. I promised myself i would never be above 90kg again.... and look at me now. A sham, an image of wasted time.

I suppose I'm as to terms with her death as I can be now. I have to take care of myself for my two year old daughter, and for my own mental health. So I'm going to try again with the weight. I want to get under 90kg first, then target 80. After that? personal challenge, get to 75kg.

Its all baby steps again for me. I'm a sugar fiend. I love white bread. Chocolate. Eating big portions and then going back for seconds. We'll see how I track. I'm not intending to lose it all rapidly this time. hopefully it will come off in its own time, while i be healthy.
