Hi, I'm Mary Beth 57 and over weight LOL. I had never had a weight problem until a few years ago. I did lose 50 pounds but over the past couple of years I have put all over it back on plus more. In 2006, I was diagnosed with thyroid disease which makes it so hard to lose weight. In 2007 they found I also had Fibromyalgia. Thank goodness they have not put me on Lyica which causes terrible weight gain. All of that along with high cholesterol and a heart murmur....well let's just say I need to get into shape.

My Goals:
I would like to get down to a healthier weight and possibly lower my Cholesterol. It would be nice to get out and romp with the grandsons.

Hopefully if I lose some weight and can start walking, it will help the pain from the fibro. Right now walking makes my muscles hurt so very bad, it is hard to get out and do it.

My Program:
I joined T.O.P.S. a year ago in February for accountability and support. I count Weight Watcher points. I have found that it is the easiest program for me to follow.

I'm trying to eat more fresh vegetables and get a fruit serving in daily.

I'm also getting in 3 servings of dairy a day.

Personal Information:
I have been married for 37 years. I have 2 daughters Mandy 32 and Katie 31. Four ornery grandsons Anthony 11, Zavier 10, Terrance 6 and Elijah 5.

I live in Southeast Kansas with three spoiled dogs.

Other Information:
I like to read, watch movies and sit on my front porch and watch the world go by.

I'm a coffee-holic!

    Happiness is letting go of what you assume life is supposed to look like right now and sincerely appreciating everything that it is. At the end of the day, before you close your eyes and be at peace with where you have been and grateful for what you have. Life is good..not perfect..but good.
