I was also about 185 lbs in this picture. I was so much closer to my goal. I know I'll get back there, but I am so sick of the up and down weight.

I have been on the weight loss roller coaster for the last nine years (at least). I was always a heavy child and teenager, but began to lose weight my senior year of highschool. I wasn't trying to lose, but the numbers just got lower over time. I weighed 230 lbs at the beginning of my senior year, and dropped to 200 lbs by the end. My freshman year of college, I decided to start a workout regimen and eventually lost another 28 lbs. This was my lowest weight of my adult life, 172. I maintained that weight for about six months and the weight slowly crept back on.

Since this time, I have tried trainers, pills, doctors, cabbage soup diets and eating healthy and counting calories. Being healthy/making a lifestyle change worked best for me. I worked out, counted calories, ate tons of fruits and vegetables and drank a gallon of water a day. My lowest weight as of date has been 184, but I gradually started having more chocolate, larger portions, french fries instead of salads, etc. and the weight is back. I am now at 219 lbs and trying again. I want to lose weight the right way, but I also want to keep it off permanently. I am joining spark people to have support in losing weight, but also to learn tools for maintenance. My goal is to lose 50 lbs and keep it off.

My Goals:
My goal is not only to lose weight, but also to keep it off. Losing weight is the easy part for me once I am focused. It is hard for me to keep going and not to resume bad habits that lead to weight gain.

My Program:
1. Atleast and hour of exercise five days a week.
2. 1500-1700 calories a day. Going back to journaling and writing down everything that I eat.
3. Eliminating cookies and portillo's chocolate cake. Only 100 calories snacks to get my chocolate fix, or a small piece of dark chocolate.
4. A gallon of water a day.

    Reading your comments on your pictures I fully understand but the important thing is that you are still getting back up to get back on that horse. Girl, you will get to that go and stay there. We will get to that goal!
