MODERATION IS THE KEY TO EVERYTHING
I'm struggling. Yes, that's right, I'm really struggling. I have been struggling to get 5-10 pounds off for many years now. I get close and then my weight balloons back up again. I am a lifetime WW member but gained some weight back and just can't get it off. If I stayed home, never socialized, had no friends to do lunches with and basically had no life, I probably would be at my goal weight.

I know how to eat. I know how to exercise. I have a gym in my house. I hike. I climb mountains. I walk. Sometimes I walk 16 miles.
I'm quite active most days of the week. I have a FitBit. I have an Apple Watch. I have a treadmill. I have an elliptical machine. I have lots of gym equipment at home. I have the FitBit community to motivate me and challenge me. I have the SparkPeople community to motivate and challenge me. I have it all, but still struggle with getting the weight off.
I think a lot of the problem is my body's set point theory. My body wants to stay at a certain weight and it refuses to budge. I'm sure a lot of you haven't heard of it before. Read up on it. Fascinating stuff. But, the more you diet and exercise, the set point will drop. Not an easy task to lower it. I've exercised and dieted until I just about drop, and it still wants to remain the same.
My second half of the problem is portion control and to many bad choices. I'm fine when I'm home, I weigh and measure everything. As soon as I go out with friends, I'm done in.
So, I'm gonna try and buckle down, yet again, to try and get this weight off.
I know this is not about dieting, it's about lifestyle changes. I think that might be the problem right there. Do I really want to eat healthy the rest of my life? Don't get me wrong, I do love to eat healthy. But I think more times than not, I stick with the bad choices. I mean, who doesn't love to eat all the bad stuff, right?
So as I have stated above, "moderation is the key to everything". Guess I have to really concentrate on what that really means.
My clothes are getting tighter. My BP is getting a little high. I have got to do this.
