Introduction Text My mother died in December 2006. Before she died my doctor told me that my blood sugar & cholesterol were high. I thought nothing of it. After I lost my mother I knew that I MUST do everything in my power to live a healthier life! The easiest thing int he word to do is to give up when something seems hard, right?! If you were going for your degree would you quit? If you were planning a wedding would you stop? This time around I WILL complete my weight loss goal. I could never give up on myself, because I am so worth living a healthy lifestyle! In 2007 I’m taking back my life! Time for an attitude adjustment. I started this Journey in Oct 2006 weighing in at 318lbs. In 2007 I made the choice to have WLS. It's such a controversy...you are either FOR it or AGAINST it. I am neither. I am and will always be pro ME. I found that I needed WLS and so that's what I did. On 11/26/07 I had VSG Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. See my blog for details.

To weigh 185lbs SW 318 CW 198 Drink 8-10 cups of water per day To motivate others whose lives I've touched to get serious about their health. To live a life worthy of God.

Maintain a high protein / low cholesterol / high fiber diet

Born and raised in Los Angeles, not many can say that!
