One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

We all have a whoops day. Its what you do the day after that counts... Kaliswalker

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

CATINCJ Never set your goals at some else's pace or evaluate your performance by someone else's standards. Added 2May13 from her feed that day.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

Thanks for the blog love about the snow. We did not get as much as Des Moines. The last I saw for them was 7"!! We still have snow on the grass this morning but the streets seem clear.

Thanks for commenting on my blog - my "STREP" was turned into autocorrect's "STEEL" . . .LOL I don't mind spellchecker nearly as much as autocorrect because even when I reread what I wrote I can't figure out what I meant. Somehow autocorrect turned into article's before I even posted this.

Its also hard to keep sight of that with the virus when the news keeps announcing all the deaths in our county from it. I think we are up to 68 now. Very sad and yes I realize people die from the flu too but hearing about cases of people dying from this virus that are otherwise very healthy is scary.

Thanks for the blog love about getting a covid test. Sparkers are the most supportive people ever! That was my whole problem. I could not figure out why, when my notification to go for the test donged, I started to panic. I think it was because while I try to mask, sanitize, wash, etc. for both me and Dearly Beloved I'm still afraid I will bring something home as I go out more than he does. Mostly it is to the village but I also meet a cousin for coffee occasionally, sitting at opposite ends of the table and the coffeeshop is doing a much better job of sanitizing tables, etc. Really, Really hope they get a vaccine worked out.

Here's hoping there is not a next one! emoticon
