Introduction Text Hello Sparkspeople, I was a member here some years ago, but a lot has happened and I've entered a new season in my life. I'm retired since June 2020 and needed to jumpstart my diet and exercise. So as Whitesnake lyrics go... I don't know where I'm going But, I sure know where I've been Hanging on the promises In songs of yesterday An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time Here I go again Here I go again

I have a short term goal of losing 2 lbs a week in 10 lb increments. My first long term goal is to reach 165, which is about 30 lbs away. My second long term goal is to reach a healthy weight for myself that is within a normal range for an old girl like me. This is at present an unknown number so I'll be keeping up with my medical doctor for recommendations and encouragement.

Although, my program is unknown, other than paying attention to diabetic literature and my doctor, I plan to incorporate Silver Sneakers exercise to help my joint and muscle issues.

My husband and I share our home with 3 cats and my grown children pop in and out. I have a teenage granddaughter. Where did the time go?

I'm learning what it means to be retired in the crazy pandemic state we are in. Right now I am in the process of decluttering and enjoy following tried and true routines that the FlyLady has established. I'm going through years and years of clutter and deciding what to keep, toss and donate. It's a mind exhausting job, but I'm getting there.
