Married 30-something mom of two-under-two. Been overweight over half my life and have developed a lot of health problems because of it. I know losing weight would basically eliminate my health issues. Also, I want to set a good example for my girls. My oldest will be three in May 2013 and children begin developing long-term memories around that age. I want to be at a healthy weight and living a healtier lifestyle by that date so that my children remember me being thin and healthy. It will help me set a better example for them and help them lead a healthier lifestyle and hopefully avoid the issues I've had.

My Goals:
* Lose 100-ish pounds by my firstborn's third birthday (5/1/2013)
*Exercise regularly (30 min 3 - 5 x week)
*Lose my 'pre-diabetes' status and (hopefully) get rid of my PCOS
*Nix my high blood pressure and cholesterol
*Love myself!


My Program:
*Follow SparkPeople's diabetic diet guide
*Restrict carbs, eat more vegetables and fruit
*Treadmill 30 min/day, as quickly as I can walk, moving into running as I progress
*'Mental' training to re-adjust my attitude when it comes to food as well as to break old bad habits. AND PORTION CONTROL! My biggest 'enemy'!

Love cooking, baking, and eating - unfortunately!

Fortunately, I can cook fairly healthy and I know lots of people who love to eat my baked goods (so I don't 'have' to).

Also love camping, hiking, fishing, and reading.
