Introduction Text My entire life has been a yo-yo diet. I have tried way too many gimics and weightloss plans that promised results with little effort. The time has come to "get real". I finally have admitted that losing weight and getting healthy is going to take time, energy, and committment - on MY part. No more excuses. This time I AM going to do it! No matter how long it takes?

Shoot for the moon, for even if you miss, you'll be among the stars.

This time I plan to do it right: Eat healthy, watch portion size, exercise, stay positive.

I have lived in Minnesota my entire life. I grew up in the Twin Cities, and remain in the area. I like the change of seasons. I love kids and cars. I enjoy attending classic car shows during the spring, summer & fall. I love the Northwoods of Minnesota and spend as much time as I can Up North. In winter, I snowshoe and try not to freeze to death!

My childhood was a painful one. I am a survivor of incest, which began when I was 6 years old, and I fought it until I left home at 17 years. I have very few memories of my younger years. I now work with children, many who are in dysfunctional families. As a positive adult, I try to make a difference in their lives. No child should be damaged by child abuse.
