But it's so mental. My body will not go where my mind doesn't push it.

10 Reasons I Want to Lose Weight...
1. I want to improve my total health and I feel that losing weight will help me not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.
2. To look great in clothes I love and to actually "dress" every day in clothes I love, not just throw on jeans and a big top to hide everything in. I’d love to be a single digit size or at least a “perfect 10.”
3. To gain energy for future grand-kids and fun activities. Seriously, stuff like surfing, snorkeling, and sailing are on my bucket list and I ain’t getting younger so I must become fit!
4. To improve my confidence and self-esteem.
5. To improve a few obesity related ailments I've acquired.
6. To avoid any new obesity related illnesses and ailments in the future.
7. To stop hiding from cameras and hating myself in pictures.
8. To make myself proud as well as certain people in my life.
9. To improve my social anxiety that stems from feeling like and/or being the fattest and ugliest woman in the place all the time.
10. To embrace life authentically, fully, magically, and with excitement and be my own kind of healthy, confident, 'beautiful' ME.

One of these days I will move to the beach... a place that I daydream about daily... where I can enjoy the sunshine, turquoise water, sea salt breezes and release every stress I've ever felt. The beach is a place to release worries, a respite for a weary working girl, a regeneration of feeling alive. I feel like a misplaced islander. I've said this many times for years.

Back in 2007 when I first joined, I lost a lot, but not to goal, then gained, then lost, then gained and so forth on this crappy roller coaster of weight gain/loss....

My Goals:
Under 200 by Halloween!!

To lose 52 lbs during the 2019 year.

Ultimate goal is to lose a total of 133 lbs.

To improve my mind, body, and spirit.
To establish healthy habits for those improvements.
I want to be healthy and feel good about myself inside and out.

Specific weight goals along the way....
199.5 - it's been too long since I've been under 200 at all.
191 - I go from obese to overweight BMI
174 - Goal weight for 2019
158 - I go from overweight to normal BMI
121 to 158 is normal BMI range for 5’7”
So in the middle of that is about 139 - dare I even dream it?


My Program:
Food: Combination of Mediterranean and Ketogenic Diets
Drink: Coffee in the mornings, then water (at least 64 oz) until it's acceptable to drink Wine.
Exercise: 30 min 4/7 days



Personal Information:
I'm a 54 year old, 5'7" Christian Mom of 4 (ages 28, 25, 23, 18), and wife of the best husband in the world, with no grandkids yet. I live in Arkansas and work full time. I love the ocean and beaches, rain, thunderstorms, horror movies, books, daydreaming, coffee, red wine, Halloween, Christmas, giving, fountain pens, stickers, journals, planners, drawing and doodling, coloring, the moon, the sun, nature, cats, rock music, art, the colors of fall, the colors of the ocean, things that are hippy-ish and bohemian, things that are strange, unusual, dark, and a bit odd, and I'm always trying to learn more and more about my health and how to make it optimum. I also believe in writing things down... plans, lists, venting, etc.

I have a very bad habit of vegging out in my recliner after work, something I really need to work on!

    lol on ordering yet another book. I checked it out on digital from my library (Libby ap). There were some things that I didn't find very practical, but other ideas that I really liked. She talked about the idea of selling things vs donating. I really liked that she talked about her own starting point. Let me know what you think - I hope it's useful to you.
