I am 56 years old and I have now been living in Sweden for almost 7 years.
As a New England native I can't say the cold bothers me but it is very, very dark here for much of the year and that exacerbates depression so that has been a battle. I quit smoking 3 months ago and gained a few pounds at first but quickly dropped them.
After suffering from back pain for 7 months I was diagnosed with "kissing spine" which is not treatable without surgery, something I am unwilling to undergo at this point. I am hell bent on getting myself as healthy as possible because at some point I may need that surgery. On the other hand I have felt incredibly tired and unmotivated since getting this diagnosis. I don't know if it is working on my head or what
But - I am on track, eating healthy, paying attention to my nutrients and exercising daily, pushing myself through it.

What I want most is to feel strong, flexible and healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle - forever.

My Goals:
To be healthy and strong.
To increase my flexibility.
To feel comfortable with my appearance.
To keep depression away or at least manageable without medication.
To have fun along the way!

My Program:
I tend towards high volume, low fat and I try to be very conscious of getting the nutrients that my body needs to be strong and healthy.
I do both cardio and ST. I am currently using FitnessBlender.com for my workouts because it is free and they have so many different workouts to choose from.

Originally from MA. grew up in NH. Moved to Stockholm Sweden in 2011

Other Information:
I love my family, books, baseball (Red Sox - does any other team really matter?) and travel.
