HI! Welcome to my page.

Winter has arrived and dumped 10 inches of snow on us!
I am not a snow person can do without it....but I bought a Rav4 in July and it drove very well in the snow. I think it can get me into trouble this winter if I'm not careful! It has been a long 2020 but it went by so quickly.

I live in Scranton, PA with my boyfriend, his daughter, one dog, two cats and three fish! For the Winter months I enjoy spending time inside (remember not a snow person and really not a cold weather person either). My exercise includes Walk Away the Pounds, Refit, Yoga and any other exercise video I can find - I'm always looking for something new.

I love being part of a group challenge, meeting new people and trying new things. I think being part of a group makes weight loss so much easier.

My boyfriend (Herb) has had many knee surgeries since 2017 and is still struggling to walk. He was in a straight cast for most of 2019 and put on a lot of weight. Together we are eating better, I'm exercising like crazy (Herb is doing what he physically can) and we kissed a few pounds goodbye over the year and are looking to kick more to the curb in 2021!

I have been with sparkspeople for a long time but have had some set backs and I was on and off the wagon many times. Starting in January 2017 I have stayed with it and have not given up.

I re-learned how to exercise, eat right and most importantly stay in contact with my groups for support. Although my eating habits have a tendency to get out of hand (especially when I am stressed) - I try hard every day to make the right decisions (some days I fail but most days I succeed) - I love to eat and I have a big sweet tooth!

I am so thankful for all my friends here on SparksPeople - they are so motivational and help me stay on track. And are always there to get me back on track after a stressful day.

I have also found it very helpful to blog and I do not get blogs posted as often as I would like but when I get them posted I love to hear the feedback from everyone. Take a look some of my blogs and leave me a message!!

The beginning of 2019 I was 220 lbs and in August 2020 I am 246 lbs. Currently today (Dec. 28) I am 242 lbs. This is evidence that even though I had a big weight gain - I am currently heading in the right.... I will continue to move forward.

I am actually happy in my body. I do not look in the mirror and cringe, but I know the weight is not a healthy weight for me. I am still working hard and dealing with stress the best I can and I know I will reach my goals.

In July 2020 I was diagnosed with high blood pressure (a family curse), I just stated medication and it is currently under control. Then in August 2020 was diagnosed with pre-diabetic, again on medicine and it is under control.

My motto is: Never Give Up!

Good to hear from you. All is well here in Rochester. I think we are getting less snow than you are! Sounds like all is well with you too! Stay safe.....

Hi Debbie, I hope you are doing well. I am basically the same, just waiting for my turn to get the vaccine. I'm lucky to have lost my "Pandemic" weight gain but have stalled again. I'm looking forward to getting back in the pool but I decided to wait until I'm vaccinated. My Phantoms will start playing again soon but without fans in the stands. I don't have cable so I can't watch them but at least they'll be getting practice and play time. Many of our players have been called up to the Flyers ( who are doing well- HeeHee ) but are on taxi squad waiting on bench in case there is a team illness. What a strange year this has been! 2021 has not started out well either. Praying for our country and the world.

    emoticon emoticon

Katie is the ML, she let me know what a WonDOGful job you did with the Event SS!! TY TY TY TY Debbie! So well organized!! It was very easy for her to pick up on.

How's work going in the new position? Are you settling into it okay? How are you overall? DETAILS GIRL FRIEND!

LOLOL I THINK I MIGHT BE INSANE!! I've asked to be trained for Register 1!! YO the front end manager was quite surprised. Normally not many WANT to be trained for it, and certainly not someone who's fairly new again to the store. But, I think it'd be FUN! PLUS I end up on it quite a bit any ways and I HATE having to call someone down saying "Sorry, I am not trained to do x y z". Grin At our store we do not have a service center it's Register 1 that does all of that.

Otherwise going from day to day. I've pretty much let be known that I'm FINE with quick check for the time I'm there. WHY??? We have some VERY SLOW baggers!! I am NOT NOT NOT a fast cashier so when my register is backed up it's just a SAD situation. I DO enjoy bagging it's a GREAT WORKOUT, but when I am bagging,,, hehehehe here's why I enjoy quick check,,, bagging the cashier gets ALL THE TY's (WELL Of course I hear them, but it's NOT THE SAME!) when I'm the cashier be it Quick check or a "big" register, I SHINE and I ADORE making people laugh and just feel really appreciated. :)

I DID get to see my GGS on Tuesday for 4 hours!! OH IT DID MY HEART AWESOME!!
