MARDELLROGERS
I'm brand new to sparkpeople and still figuring out the navigation and process, but I was looking for fellow "horsepeople" when I came across Quilthorse. I must say, I am so inspired by you. You are amazing! I love your happy face. Your good spirit shows in your face.
And the weight you have lost is so terrific that it motivates me to DO something about myself.
I just let myself go due to some stressful life situations, and now have this pudgy middle that I want to eliminate. I am a tiny person and most larger people laugh at my desire to lose weight, but it is all relative - on a small person, it shows up faster and looks like more.
I was always an athlete - had horses most of my life, starting out English hunter/jumper, showing, 4-H, then competitive trail riding, then endurance racing. I was a champion 100 mile endurance rider up to the late 1980's, so I know about goal setting. However, Life took a turn and I gained weight. Now, do not laugh, I am 4 ft 10 1/2 inches tall and I ALWAYS weighed 88 pounds. I was up to 114 pounds, which is a lot to me. I need to get a new scale but I think I'm around 108 now, according to my doctor's office.
My eating habits are atrocious - I love sweets, but am starting to track what I eat (it's shocking when you write it down!)
Anyhow, I haven't joined any teams yet or anything, but this website is awesome and you were the most inspiring person of all the horse sites I looked at so just wanted to let you know to keep up the good work. I know if you did it, so can I. Thanks! Mardell Rogers 4117 days ago
