Val Will Not Give Up!


Since joining SparkPeople I have made healthier nutrition and regular fitness a daily goal. I have a few unhealthy habits I'm still working on breaking.

I love taking fitness classes at the local college as well as using a recumbent exercise bike, stability and BOSU Ball with weights at home. Walking is also a major pleasure for me that I get in when the weather permits.

Fitness Minutes: 70,264

My Goals:
The eat Cleaner and Exercise consistanly

To lose 5 - 10 lbs a month.

To do cardio 5 - 7 times a week.

To do strength training exercises 3 times a week.

Forgive myself for not being perfect and continue onward.

My Program:
 Continue to take advantage of the Spark site by Tracking my Food intake and my Fitness.

Create an upward spiral with positive self talk and by reaching specific nutrition and fitness goals


Personal Information:
I live in upstate NY. I am married , the mother of three boys, and a Grandmother to a 10 year old Granddaughter.

    Hi, Rainbow, I hope you have a great day, too! I am playing erry Lee Lewis and dancing to the laundry room. Yesterday when we were waiting at the restaurant to be called for our table I just kept tapping my feet and shaking my shoulders and there was no music. My niece thought I was crazy. I said, people who fidgt lose more weight they say! emoticon

    Hello, Thank you for the Spark Goodie and saying I am a good friend. You are to me, too. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day. I had a really nice one although not exactly healthy. My son came over and brought a beautiful yellow lily plant for me and a beautiful card. He doesn't always buy cards so I will cherish that. He took me to dinner at a Mexican Restaurant. His Dad and my niece and her Mother came, too. I will admit that I put my diet out of my mind and enjoyed my dinner and a glass of wine and flan for dessert. The music will be blaring tomorrow! Tomorrow I will be right back on track. One point in my favor is that I ate a healthy low calorie breakfast and only light soup for lunch. My niece's Mother, who is my brother's ex-wife had not seen me in a long time. She said I looked really good. She also said I had not changed; that I looked the same as I did years ago. She said "You haven't aged a bit". Now that's not true, but nice to hear anyway! Have a good night. emoticon
