Things are progressing. It is such a nice surprise to see you on here. I love it and could not do what I'm doing without it. That's me, lol. Thanks for the cleaning bucket. I would love to have a spring cleaning party. Do people do things like that? I managed to paint a few walls and am slowly making my way through the house but the clutter and dirt are always ahead of me. 2538 days ago

Hey! Nice to see you Ruth! I'm doing REALLY well, thanks for checking up on me.
Exercise is pretty consistent. I joined a biggest loser challenge last year which got me to push past my comfort zones. Right now I'm doing it on my own again. Just came back from a canoe trip that was really a portaging trip. Quite challenging on many levels but I was very happy with what I accomplished. I'd been preparing with shoulder and back exercises for weeks prior which I'm sure made a difference.
Food went through some radical changes when DH and DD went gluten free. We had a lot of guests with special food needs. So... lots of new recipes trying to make gluten free healthy. Some are paleo and some are specifically for dairy and gluten free. It has thrown me off because my DD has to do bloodwork eating gluten now so we are back on wheat for a few months. I also have all the family home and there are stressers. They seem to be slowly working out but I reach for foods when I get emotional or after the crisis still and sabatoge my good efforts.
At least I can say I'm staying on track. I am below 220 and have been for a long time but 200 is elusive. I fit into a XL for many items of clothing now which is delightful. I feel pretty good and my blood work has come back "normal" for everything although I am still on some medications. It is wonderful progress, slow and steady.
The bed and breakfast is doing really well. Our finances have stabilized. My puppy is feeling her age with some back leg problems so stairs are a challenge now. She is 12.
Goals - I bought a dress for a wedding I need to still fit into in August so no more emotional eating! lol. Continue with the exercise and good eating choices. I think, writing this, that means no more desserts and goodies in the house but I just bought cream cheese to make a birthday cheesecake for my DD. Hmmm. Have to think about that. Snacking at night is also a more regular event. We have been watching TV in the evenings. Lots of ways I could "lose it" and things to focus on. I know that it is 90% about the food because I am very active.
This seems like a very good blog for me, lol. I should cut and paste. So I hope you are on track. I remember you were eating vegan and dealing with lots of changes with jobs and housing. Hope your puppies are well too. Come visit me any time because it was very nice stopping into your page! 2766 days ago
