I am loosing again but I need some support which I am not getting by doing it alone. I have 7 children still at home and am around the refrigerator all day. This (I pray) will help me to stay focused and get healthy again!

I am facing a do or die moment. Do I just give up or go on? Well I have decided to be healthier. I have gone to the library and found a few books and was shocked about what they said about weight gain/loss. You see I have been eating less and less calories (less than 1200) and running about 6 miles a day. And then I get on the scale to see I had gained 8 pounds overnight. WHAT!?!? So then I started to give up when I read how some carbs affect your weight gain no matter how much your eat or exercise. All they were saying in the books was what I was going through. Now I realized I have to change strategy. It is working. Not only in a few days have I lost the 8 I gained but I have dropped a couple extra! I know it is only day 2 and I will start to see a real difference in attitude, energy, and appearance soon. These things are hard for me but I am trying to educate my family as I go to what we are eating and what effects it is having on us. I pray for strength and mercy every day to get me through (one day at a time). These books are a life change not a diet and I should be able to not focus so much on counting calories as just paying attention to what I am shoving in my mouth. And by the time I get over this hump, it should come second nature as to what makes me feel good and what messes up my system.
Bottom line is now I have hope again that I am not a freak that CAN"T do what I know needs to be done. I am strong and I think I can do this.
Well I am still learning. I am learning that when I do things with the children, it is exercising. I try not to kick myself when I don't get in 5 miles. I miss it but just some days, I don't get to it. I do enjoy the time with the children!

My Goals:
To be healthy again and to not be the fat mom. I want to be able to run on the nature trails when my children decide it is time for a sprint. They are amazed that I can now keep up with them. I love that. I couldn't do it a year ago!
My Program:
I have been cutting calories and sugar in my diet. I exercise in the morning to get it in. I weigh myself first thing in the morning to keep motivated that this is working for me. I still only drink water for all meals. I remind myself that everything I do were I am moving, helps to burn something.
Personal Information:
I am a mom of 9 living children. I homeschool currently 7 as 2 are grown and gone.
Other Information:
I love dark chocolate and spending time with my family. We go to the many nature walks around town.
