Hi. How did the fistula op go for your OH? Good luck with the transplant next year. Ken's been waiting since early 2012 for one here. Still waiting, & waiting. His sister is going to donate but can't give directly to Kenn as not a great match so she's in a 'roundabout' and waiting for a bunch of suitable matches to come up. 2, 3 or 4 couples they do this with now. Everyone donates to one another. Mr Brown, donates to Mrs Smith, Mr Smith donates to Mrs Green, Mr Green donates to Kenn etc It works very well but takes time to come up with the right 'roundabout' matches.
Home dialysis? You are very brave. I couldn't deal with the needles, I don't think and Kenn can't plumb himself in. He's settled with his new unit now. Only 11 miles up the road, so a nice bike ride to meet him (when it's not raining)
Not been logged on for a couple of weeks. Depression bit me in the bum so I've not been online much. Coming out the other side now.

Hi, I too have been sucked in by Jacksprattloves posts. I don't believe a word she says. I don't believe she's fasting. I don't want you to get upset by her posts. She's not following the "rules" of Christian fasting even if she is really fasting.

Good luck being screened as a live donor for your son. I gave Kenn a kidney in 2008 but, after 5 years, it gave up the ghost due partially to an auto-immune thing he had and partially due to some of his lifestyle choices (Which I am still more than a little annoyed about)

The laproscopic operation is much better than the old way of doing things. You'll be back on your feet in no time. I'd have been back to work in 6 weeks if I had had a proper job that didn't involve lifting dogs about. My friend Kath was back to work in 6 weeks. She had a proper job in an office :)

Thanks for your response to my comment on the 21-day challenge. I am originally from Germany, but have lived in the U.S. for 52 years. I, too, am a grandmother with 4 grandchildren. Good luck with the challenge. I completed it, today.
If you need help with anything at SparkPeople, let me know. I might have the answer. emoticon
