I have been successful in losing quite a bit of weight on my own. I lost the last dreaded 20 pounds and now seem to be playing with that by going up and down over the last 4 years. I'm really tired of that and would very much like to lose 25 more pounds and maintain instead of doing this yo-yo thing!

My Goals:

1. Lose 25 pounds and finish my weight loss phase moving on to maintenance.
2. Continue exercise. I feel so much better when I move! I am addicted to the treadmill.
3. Phase in the elliptical. I need to stop relying on the treadmill so much.
4. Look forward to things instead of looking back.

My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.

1. For the holidays I am simply trying not to toss all caution to the wind. While dinners out and parties have impacted my downward weight number, I am still going to end this year without having gained weight over the holidays.
2. I do this on my own and have lost 80 pounds (more than that if I count what I gained, lost and gained again!) by making up my own daily meal plan and increasing exercise.

Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, anything.

My favorite genre for reading is mystery/thrillers. I will switch to other things, including non-fiction when I find something I'm really interested in. Movies are a way to escape and I recently saw Australia. In the past I have enjoyed Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River.
For TV we're a cable series kind of family. We enjoyed the Sopranos, Brotherhood, Deadwood, and Dexter.
