Mama Ph.D.
My weight loss journey has been quite a ride to say the least. When I was in college I weighed as much as 262 and was not loving the way I looked or felt. It was a long road, but over the course of 15 years, I slowly dropped weight while improving my eating habits and fitness. Eventually, I reached by weight goal of 160 lbs and many of my fitness goals including running my first half-marathon.

When I was at my healthiest, I found out that my husband and I were expecting our first child. Even though I exercised throughout my pregnancy, I still gained quite a bit of weight. Almost three years later, I'm still working on dropping the weight, but I'm faster and stronger than I was before having my daughter. I'm hoping to be able to maintain focus on my health and wellness while managing the stress of being on the tenure track.
