Hello everyone!!
I can't believe I'm saying this but I am really happy to be here and I feel, for the first time in years, that I am taking back control of my life rather than my weight controlling me!!
I have such a good life and I hope to conquer this last challenge........... Good luck to all & I hope to meet you somewhere along the journey

Fitness Minutes: 10,400

My Goals:
1. Drink more water
2. Enjoy an out door activity every day
3. Take the weight off
4. Keep the weight off
5. Laugh at least once every day
6. Learn to like myself & appreciate what I have
7. Stop thinking 'it's all or nothing' & understand life happening is not my failure
8. Start Pilates classes
9. Ride my push bike once a week
10. Every success will be rewarded without the use of food or drink

My Program:
Take every day as it comes and stop being a perfectionist. If I have a bad day FORGIVE MYSELF xx

Personal Information:
I have been with my Husband for 20 years. We have 4 grown up children living in different parts of the world. My life in so many ways has been blessed & I know it. We are 54 years old, retired (& have been for 2 years) living in the most beautiful part of Turkey.

Other Information:
My hobbies are travelling, walking, my new puppy Tess, reading, gardening & I am starting a Pilates class on Monday 02/03/09.
We have just returned from a 12 week visit to see Michaela, our daughter, & her family in New Zealand. All my good weight loss efforts before the trip have unfortunately gone now & I am starting SP again 12lb heavier than when I started months ago. I know this is due to emotional eating (I'm really not sure when I will see them again) but I feel it is time to stop the self pity again and try to be the best me I can.
Summer is just around the corner friends so my goal is to enjoy it at least 2 stone lighter than I am now.

    Hi, it's been a while since I've stopped by your page to check on you so I thought I'd take a quick moment; how are things going for you?

    I read somewhere that one lady stacked empty butter cartons on top of each other as she lost the weight so that she could see what it looked like. Now I picture every pound of my excess weight as a brick of butter; which is also pure fat. So any weight I lose, I mentally stack in the corner of my mind to remind me what it looks like.

    Hey... Keep reminding yourself how hard you worked and that you deserve to lose for your efforts; and by all means, keep on keeping on!

    It's December already; can you believe it? November and December are the busiest months for me (besides July and August and September!) It seems the Holidays bring our friends and families closer and we spend more time visiting, and entertaining during these two months than any others; lots of Holiday preparation going too!

    I find that I don't often get an opportunity to get around to Sparkpeople as much, but I try to stay focused as much as possible. Sometimes my good friend Will Power (who is always a welcome guest) doesn't show up until 'after' dinner, but I'm working on that as well.

    I hope things are going well for you and you don't find yourself too busy to take care of yourself. You are the most important person in your life!
