To combat this depression landscape, I found that food could temporarily help me forget what was going on around me. The down side to this revelation was that the 'temporarily' became 'momentarily' and 'momentarily' gave birth to monthly trips to Goodwill to buy whole new wardrobes as the pounds packed on in the most undignified of manners. In a nutshell, the trenches SUCK.
With that in mind, I'm picking up my weapon, un-admitting defeat, and heading into battle against not only that which has held me here for so long, but my new enemy, food addiction.
