A search for balance.
I'm a fun and fabulous lady, who has always been proudly plus size. I love my curves and would never want them to go away. I don't consider myself frumpy or dumpy and I certainly don't hate my body. I would even call myself something of a fatshionista! However, recently I've decided that I need to take a stronger role in my own health and lifestyle.
I got on the scale a couple of weeks ago (I blame my roommate for putting it in the bathroom!) and found that it read 299. I thought ...
I'm a fun and fabulous lady, who has always been proudly plus size. I love my curves and would never want them to go away. I don't consider myself frumpy or dumpy and I certainly don't hate my body. I would even call myself something of a fatshionista! However, recently I've decided that I need to take a stronger role in my own health and lifestyle.
I got on the scale a couple of weeks ago (I blame my roommate for putting it in the bathroom!) and found that it read 299. I thought it had to be broken. No way have I ever weighed that much. I haven't even had to go up a pant size! But no, it was true.
This, along with the fact that I'm a recent college graduate and just got a full time job lead me to the the realization that I don't have any more excuses for treating my body like crap. So, although I have no desire to be a Skinny Minnie, I need to get back to a healthy lifestyle. I turned back to SparkPeople after signing up and forgetting about it years ago.
I've lost 4.3 pounds since that 299 revelation. Here's to many more! And not devolving into a shame/hate/self-loathing spiral along the way.

To get back down to a curvy and manageable weight.
Eat more whole, local foods.
Yoga class twice a week.
Run/walk/or elliptical three times a week.
Register for a Disney Race.
My Program:
No fast food. This means nothing with a drive-thru attached to it (except Starbucks).
Less sodium.
Less diet cola.
MORE VEGGIES.
MORE TEA.
