Hi, I'm Sheila and I have enough bad habits that I want to replace with some good ones. I found SparkPeople and joined on Dec. 30, 2008 and I have great hope that this will help me achieve my goals.

SparkPeople has really motivated me. Tracking how much food I eat and how much water I drink, seeing the stretching, upper and lower body exercises, and tracking cardio and other goals I have set have all been great tools for me.

Update: I have lost 30 lbs. in 19 weeks! I love SP. It really works!!! I hit a plateau, but keep looking forward. Lost a little more, then hit another plateau. Being part of different SparkTeams has really given me the accountability and encouragement I need.

I know that it is by the Grace of God that I have been able to stick with this program. I pray that I can be a good example for others as well.

My Goals:
My goals are to learn how to eat right, even though we have little money for groceries right now. Another goal is to get more exercise, even if it is just going for walks. I know that ultimately God is in control and I just need to keep the faith! I can do this!!!


My Program:
SP is working for me. I thank God I found it.

* I drink my 8 cups of water every day .

* I track everything I eat (knowing how many calories and fat is in some food really keeps me from eating it or much of it).

* I'm walking more and doing more exercise.

* I'm eating 3 meals and 3 snacks per day.



Personal Information:
I am in Simi Valley, California and love it here!


Other Information:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

    Hello and Welcome to Sparks. Congrats on making this step to getting healthy. You will find a lot of info here and there are many waiting to encourage you. Find teams that meet your needs then post every day. That will help you stay accountable. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed here. It will take a couple of weeks before you really feel like you know what your doing. If you have questions please ask. All of us were new once and had to ask ourselves. And do not ever give up.
