For the past five years I have traveled the US with my husband Shannan. I worked at many resorts within the National Parks including at North Rim Grand Canyon and most recently Bryce Canyon in Southern Utah. In the off-season, we travel to visit friends and family.

Often, winter is a time of deep introspection and also for my creativity to have free reign. However, I tend to deal with winter weight gain from less activity. I want to get back on track so I will be ready for more adventures in the coming months.

I enjoy creating art, especially art that helps heal emotional wounds, trauma, etc. I am currently studying Expressive Arts and hope to get a certification in the next few years as a facilitator. My travels have definitely broadened my perspective and contributed to personal growth.

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"
