No, the perseverance thought is personal. I look back and see points in my life where if I had just persevered with my art or music I might have made something of myself.

Thanks for your comment. Most of the book was horrifying, except I found it interesting Atkins was mentioned, since I thought that started in the 90s.I hated how she kept referring to "the obese" as one unit who think and act alike.

Thanks for the supportive comment! Yes, I think I will have to keep imagining worms in those brookies, otherwise they will be my kryptonite. May have to avoid TJs for a while too.

    Hope you are doing well!

Thank you for the comment on my page, yes I know my sister loves me, but she needs to learn how to presents her dislike of my weight in a kinder way. emoticon

re food and inflammation - two summers ago I grew a big container cherry tomato plant out on my back porch and I was eating gobs of delicious cherry tomatoes every day. The arthritis in my hands, which normally just flares up occasionally, was so painful that I was walking around in the evening with splints and thumb braces on both hands and could barely move them. I eventually put together that the only thing I was doing different was eating lots of tomatoes, so I stopped and within days my hands were back to normal. So now I eat only minimal amounts of the nightshade veggies.

There's probably other foods that give me inflammation but I've never tried to isolate them. I know some people say dairy, but I'm just not willing to give up my dairy so I don't want to know!
